Cookies and browser storage
What SeatPlan HK keeps in your browser, and why. Only the first group is needed; the rest only if you allow it.
The planner (vsp.veni.hk)
| Name | Kind | What for | Kept | Needs consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| __Host-vsp | Cookie (first party, secure, HTTP only) | Keeps you signed in | Up to 30 days | No: needed for the service |
| vsp.device | Local storage | Your handle and secret key, only on a device you mark as your own | Until you forget it there | No: you choose it at sign-in |
| vsp.seen | Local storage | The highest version of each plan this device has seen (detects a rolled-back copy) | Until you delete the plan or account | No: security |
| vsp.consent | Local storage | Your statistics choice, its random choice ID and the statement version | 12 months, then we ask again | No: records your choice |
| vsp.cid | Local storage | A random statistics ID, so visits can be counted without knowing who you are | Removed when you withdraw consent | Yes: usage statistics |
No Google or other third-party script runs on the planner, and it sets no third-party cookies. Statistics you allow are sent to our server and passed on to Google Analytics 4 from there; see the privacy statement.
The introduction page (seatplan.veni.hk)
The introduction page is a separate site, so that tags on it can never reach the planner or your keys. It loads Google Tag Manager only after you allow it, with Google's consent mode set to "denied" for everything until then.
| Name | Kind | What for | Kept | Needs consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sp.consent | Local storage | Your choice on the introduction page | 12 months | No: records your choice |
| _ga, _ga_<ID> | Cookie (Google Analytics, first party) | Counts visits and where they came from | Up to 13 months | Yes: usage statistics |
| Other tags in Google Tag Manager | Varies | Only those listed here; none for advertising | – | Yes |
Advertising storage and personalisation (Google's ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization) are always denied: SeatPlan HK shows no advertising and does not advertise to you elsewhere.
Changing your mind
Use Statistics settings in the footer of any page, or the button above. Clearing your browser's site data also removes everything above and signs you out.
