Terms of use
SeatPlan HK, the hosted service of the open HK Venue Seats project: free, non-commercial and provided as it is, by [operator to be added].
Free, and staying free
There are no charges, paid tiers or paid features, and none are planned. The seat data comes from the Leisure and Cultural Services Department's published seating plans; this project is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by LCSD.
Your keys are yours alone
Your plans are encrypted with keys only you hold: your passkeys, your passphrase with its secret key, and your recovery key. We cannot reset them or recover your plans without them. If you lose all of them, your plans are lost. Export anything you cannot afford to lose.
Estimates only
The seat map is a schematic drawn from the seat data, not the venue's seat plan, and the figures are ballpark sums of what you enter. Check against the venue's official seating plan and your own records before relying on them.
Using the service
- Use it lawfully, and only enter personal data, such as people's names, that you are entitled to use for your planning.
- Do not store bulk personal data unrelated to seat planning, or anything unlawful.
- Do not attack the service, create accounts automatically, or try to reach other people's data.
We cannot see what you store, so these are your responsibility. We may delete accounts used to attack the service.
Usage statistics
Statistics are optional and need your consent, which you can give, refuse or withdraw at any time without affecting the service. What they collect, and who receives them, is in the privacy statement.
No guarantee
The service is provided as it is, without any warranty of availability or fitness for a purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from its use or unavailability, including lost plans. If the service ever closes, we will give 90 days' notice on the site, with export available throughout.
The code, and copies
The planner's code is published under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0. Others may run free, non-commercial copies, but not under the names "HK Venue Seats" or "SeatPlan HK", or in a way that suggests they are this service. The official addresses are vsp.veni.hk and seatplan.veni.hk (this service) and code.denniswu.org/hkperf-venue-seats (the open data and free planner).
Changes and law
We date every version of these terms and announce changes on the site. These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Draft of 15 October 2026.
